We had a great time last weekend at the Art Market Craft Sale in Calgary—so great that we sold completely out of our Pomegranate Pepper Pot! That stuff is delicious and makes a fabulous stocking stuffer or hostess gift, or a great appetizer served with cream cheese and crackers, or over baked brie. Garlic and Onion Jamboree was super popular as well, and can be used as a side condiment for roast beef or pork, whisked into gravy, or served with cheese and crackers as a nice snack. Just make sure to share with your friends!

Next weekend we’re back in Calgary. Please come visit us at the BMO Centre Festival of Crafts from Thursday to Sunday. We’re booth #129, and we promise to bring more Pomegranate Pepper Pot!

We’ll also be at the Butterdome Craft Show in Edmonton from December 6th to the 9th.

Hopefully we’ll see you soon!

Quite often the number one question we get from our customers is “What can I make with this?” when they see our varied selection of delicious pepper jelly pots and savoury Antipastos. We all have many different ideas that we gladly share when we get asked this question. Aside from some of the more traditional ways of using Pepper Jelly Pots (topper for brie/camembert cheese/goat cheese log to use as a spread for crackers or bread), I thought I would jot a few down here for you to easily try at home:

Simple Salad Dressing:

~1 tbsp fruit based Zinter Brown Pepper Pot (pomegranate, red, peach, raspberry)
~1/4 cup olive oil (add more or less to get the desired consistency you are looking for)
salt & pepper to taste

-spoon your pepper pot flavour into a bowl
-whisk in your olive oil slowly until you get your desired consistency
-add salt & pepper to taste
-toss with spinach, butter leaf lettuce or any kind of leafy green you wish
-add in some toasted nuts (any kind you wish)
-add in your favourite cheese (goat or feta are good options)
-add in dried canberries or pomegranate seeds or toss in fresh raspberries
-enjoy!

Glazed Carrots

carrots
~1 tsp Zinter Brown Red Pepper Pot

-Steam/cook/saute your carrots until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
-Mix in Red Pepper Pot
-Serve like that or mix your pepper pot in while carrots are in your pan and heat it quickly

Quick Corn Side Dish

fresh/frozen/canned corn
~1 tsp either ZB Red Pepper Pot or ZB Jalapeno Hot Pot

-cook your corn to desired doneness
-mix in your ZB Pepper Pot
-serve like that or mix your pepper pot in while corn is in your pan/pot and heat it quickly
-if doing corn on the cob, mix your pepper pot with some soft butter and spread on your corn cob

Meatloaf Glaze

~2 tbsp ZB Red Pepper Pot/Horseradish Pepper Pot/Jalapeno Hot Pot/Onion & Garlic Jamboree/Garlic Pepper Pot
-favourite meatloaf recipe

-make your favourite meat loaf. Feel free to throw in a couple of tbsp of your favourite above ZB Pepper Pot into your meat mixture to give it a moist and delicious kick
-spread your choice of above ZB Pepper Pot on top of your meatloaf
-pop it in the oven and bake according to your meatloaf recipe instructions

Easy BBQ Sauce

1/2 cup ZB Garlic Pepper Pot or Onion & Garlic Jamboree
1/4 soya sauce
2 garlic cloves minced
dash of ZB Mediterrano Salt & Pepper

-Whisk all ingredients and brush on chicken or ribs.
-Marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
-Barbecue or bake in the oven at 350 until tender.
-make an extra batch and use for extra sauce on the table while enjoying your meal!

Chicken/Pork Glaze

~1-2 tbsp Peachy Mango Chutney
chicken breasts or thighs OR pork chops OR pork tenderloin OR pork roast

-spread chutney on meat
-cook until meat thermometer registers correct internal temperature

Spaghetti Sauce

favourite spaghetti sauce recipe
~1/4 cup or so ZB Vegetarian Antipasto

-Make up a batch of your favourite spaghetti sauce
-add in Vegetarian Antipasto for an amazingly delicious secret ingredient that will have everyone wanting seconds
